Russian forces lose no fewer than a thousand personnel killed and wounded on the battlefield every day. This is the price Russia is paying for its summer offensive in Ukraine, according to a post by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi.

According to Syrskyi, he took part in a meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief. During the meeting, the general reported on the situation at the front, including the hottest directions — Pokrovsk, Novopavlivka, Northern-Slobozhanskyi, Dobropillia, and Lyman.

"Our soldiers are bravely holding back the onslaught and destroying the occupiers. For its attempted summer offensive, Russia is paying the highest price — around a thousand Russian soldiers killed and wounded every day. I thank the Ukrainian defenders for their resilience, courage, and professionalism in the most difficult circumstances," he said.

Syrskyi added that the operations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Russian territory are ongoing. He also noted that during the meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, the issue of strengthening the resilience of defense was discussed, including drones and interceptor UAVs.

"The army needs more UAVs to save the lives of our servicemen and the lives of our civilians in the rear," the general concluded.

Situation at the front on July 25

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, there were 174 combat engagements on the front line over the past day, July 24. The most intense fighting was recorded in the Pokrovsk and Lyman directions. During the day, Russia lost approximately 980 personnel in assault attempts.

Earlier, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi stated that the Russian forces have mobilized the maximum number of resources to carry out their plans at the front. However, Ukrainian forces retain the capability to defeat the enemy's offensive groups.
