Russian troops stationed in the Zaporizhzhia sector have devised a scheme to avoid fighting against Ukraine, reports the partisan movement Atesh.

According to Atesh, the 70th Motorized Rifle Regiment has introduced a mandatory payment of at least 10,000 rubles per person.

"The money is handed over to a so-called fund and disappears without reports or explanations. This is not just theft; it is the disintegration of the enemy's army from within. The extortion undermines combat capability, demoralizes the personnel, and weakens their positions at the front," the partisans wrote.

It is reported that those who refuse to pay are sent to assault fortified positions without support or are publicly beaten and thrown into a pit for several days.

"If they want to survive, they are required to pay at least 50,000 rubles per month, with no guarantee they won't be sent to the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine the next day," Atesh wrote.

Earlier, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, stated that Russian forces currently have a threefold advantage in manpower and equipment, outnumbering Ukrainian troops by four to six times in key areas. Despite this, August became the month of comparatively minimal territorial gains for the enemy.
