Russia fired over 180 missiles and drones at Ukraine: Air defense works

Russia launched 184 missiles and drones into Ukraine on the night of December 25, Christmas Day. Most of them were shot down by air defense.

In particular, during the attack, the Russians used 50 Kh-101/Kh-55 cruise missiles from Tu-95ms strategic bombers (launch area - Volgograd region, Caspian Sea).

Ukraine's Security Service attack one of Russian largest training grounds' ammunition depot

The Security Service of Ukraine's long-range drones hit an ammunition depot at the Kadamovskiy training ground. This is one of the largest Russian training grounds. It is located near the town of Novocherkassk, Rostov region.

The drone strike resulted in a powerful explosion and subsequent detonation of shells. The sources emphasize that Russia's depot was destroyed.

Pope Francis calls for peace talks between Russia and Ukraine

Pope Francis, in his Christmas message on Wednesday, called for negotiations between Ukraine and Russia to end the war that began nearly three years ago.

Speaking from the central balcony of St. Peter's Basilica to thousands gathered in the square below, the Pope said, "May the sound of arms be silenced in war-torn Ukraine!" He also called for "gestures of dialogue and encounter, in order to achieve a just and lasting peace."
