Partisans scouted Russian radar base in Crimea: Why is it important
Partisans locate Russian radar base in Crimea. Ukraine's defense forces already attacked this target, informs the Telegram channel of the partisan movement ATESH.
"An agent, while scouting the western coast of Crimea, identified a radar base in the village of Uutne near Yevpatoriya," the message states.
According to the partisans, the military base houses the 5N84A and Oborona-14 radar systems, which monitor airspace and transmit data to command posts for rapid threat response.
Why this object is important
This base, as noted by ATESH, plays a crucial role in controlling the airspace over the Black Sea and coordinating the occupiers' military operations.
"Destroying this base would be a significant blow to Russian occupiers and would enable Ukraine's Defense Forces to more effectively strike enemy targets in Crimea," the partisans believe.
Not the first reconnaissance of this base in Yevpatoriya
Partisans have repeatedly conducted reconnaissance of this base and shared information with Ukraine's Defense Forces. Ukrainian forces previously targeted the radar base in Yevpatoriya on January 4, 2024.
Earlier, Ukrainian partisans also identified the Protivnik-GE radar station, located southwest of the temporarily occupied Djankoy airfield.
