Pakistan denies its citizens fighting in Russia's war against Ukraine

Islamabad categorically denied allegations of Pakistani involvement in hostilities on the side of Russia, emphasizing the absence of official requests from Kyiv, the Pakistan Foreign Ministry says.
The Pakistani government said it strongly rejects baseless accusations about its citizens being involved in the war against Ukraine.
"To date, Pakistan has not been formally approached by the Ukrainian authorities, nor has any verifiable evidence been presented to substantiate such claims," the government says.
Islamabad also emphasizes that it intends to ask the Ukrainian authorities for official clarification on this matter.
Pakistan declares its commitment to a peaceful resolution of the war in Ukraine through dialogue and diplomacy, following the principles of the UN Charter.
