Ukraine's Defense Forces officially began a strike campaign on logistics hubs operated by the Russian company OZON on Saturday, August 22. This came after Ukraine targeted Wildberries' largest warehouses, according to the country's Defense Ministry.

The ministry said that consistent strikes on storage centers holding dual-use goods are complicating Russia's logistics and negatively affecting its economy.

The official body has now confirmed that Ukraine began targeting OZON warehouses today. The first was in Chapayevsk, Samara region.

"After Ukrainian units hit 15 of Wildberries' largest logistics hubs, OZON's turn has come. Our long-range sanctions are working, effectively and efficiently," the ministry's statement said.

As previously reported, overnight on August 22, a drone threat regime was declared in Russia's Samara region. Early in the morning, it became known that drones had struck an OZON warehouse in Chapayevsk, causing a fire at the facility.

The media also reported that earlier in the day, Ukrainian company Fire Point confirmed Ukraine's use of FP-1 drones to hit two targets in the Samara region at once—the Novokuybyshevsk oil refinery and an OZON warehouse.
