Over 30 drone strikes as Russia attacks Ukraine overnight

On the night of October 2, Russia launched 86 attack drones of the Shahed, Gerbera, and other types against Ukraine. A total of 53 enemy targets were intercepted, according to the Air Force.
The attack on Ukraine was carried out from the directions of Bryansk, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, and Millerovo.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, electronic warfare, and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
Strikes by 31 attack drones were recorded at six locations.
The air attack is still ongoing, with several enemy targets remaining in the sky.
Attack on Ukraine on the night of October 2
Russian forces attacked a significant part of Ukraine's energy infrastructure on the evening of October 1. As a result, several settlements and cities were left without electricity.
Due to Russian attacks on the energy sector, the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant experienced a blackout. However, power supply has since been restored.
That same night, the enemy launched an attack on the railway infrastructure in Odesa, the Kyiv region, and northern Ukraine. A train driver was injured, and trains were delayed.
Also, on the night of October 2, Russians attacked the Kyiv region with drones. As a result of the strikes, one person was injured, and a fire broke out in an inactive sanatorium.
Russian forces continue to carry out air attacks with kamikaze drones on Ukrainian settlements.
