Over 100 drones attack Russian Kursk: Details

Unknown drones attacked the Russian city of Kursk on the night of Tuesday, April 15. The Russians reported explosions as well as a fire in the city, RBC-Ukraine reports, citing Russian Telegram channels.
Last night, Kursk came under a large-scale drone attack. Local residents said that more than 30 explosions were heard in the city.
Local authorities stated that due to the drone attack, residential buildings in the city were damaged. In one of the city’s apartment buildings, the eighth and ninth floors were damaged, and there was a fire. Allegedly, one person was killed and nine others injured in the attack.
"Unfortunately, an 85-year-old woman was killed… Nine others were injured, suffering shrapnel wounds, head injuries, and burns," the Kursk authorities stated.
Damage was also recorded in the private housing sector.
Russia's Ministry of Defense claimed that on the night of April 15, they destroyed 115 drones. According to their statement, 109 of them were shot down over the Kursk region, three over the Voronezh region, and one each over the Moscow, Bryansk, and Oryol regions.
Meanwhile, the Head of Ukraine's Center for Countering Disinformation, Andriy Kovalenko, stated that during the drone attack on the Kursk region, an ammunition depot of the Russian army was hit directly in Kursk.
"In Kursk, unknown drones struck a Russian ammunition depot," Kovalenko stated.
Drone attacks on Moscow
In addition, the Russian territories were attacked by unknown drones on the night of Thursday, April 4. Russian air defenses were active in eleven regions.
A month ago, drones attacked Moscow and the Moscow region. According to eyewitnesses, explosions were heard in the Russian capital and several settlements in the surrounding area.
Before that, Russians complained about the largest drone attack since the start of the war in Ukraine. Moscow and the Moscow region were under the main strike.
