OSCE convenes special meeting over massive Russian strikes on Ukraine

Today, January 15, the OSCE held a special meeting in Vienna to discuss Russia's massive combined strikes on Ukraine, according to the Foreign Minister of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha.
"Today, a special meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council in Vienna addressed Russia’s massive missile and drone attacks against Ukraine. The meeting was convened at Ukraine’s demand," he stated.
The Foreign Minister thanked partners for condemning Russia’s ongoing terror, as well as for their "consolidated support of Ukraine’s fight for freedom and lasting peace."

Yesterday, January 14, Andrii Sybiha announced the convening of an emergency OSCE meeting at Kyiv’s request. According to him, the reason was Russian strikes on Ukraine and Moscow’s disregard for US peace initiatives.
Attacks on Ukraine
On the morning of January 15, Russian forces attacked Kyiv with drones. During the attack, debris from a drone fell on a 15-story residential building, destroying a wall on the building’s technical floor.
On the night of January 13, Russian forces launched nearly 300 drones and dozens of missiles of various types across Ukraine. At around 02:00 a.m., Kyiv was hit by ballistic missiles. The explosions were heard in the city. Later, toward morning, the city came under another missile strike.
That night, Kharkiv, Odesa, and Kryvyi Rih were also under enemy fire. There were reports of deaths, injuries, and significant destruction. In particular, four people were killed in Kharkiv after a strike on a post terminal.
During the day on Tuesday, January 13, Russian forces attacked energy facilities in Zaporizhzhia. As a result of the attack, two regional power company employees were injured, and a large number of consumers were left without electricity.
Yesterday, following an emergency meeting, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that due to Russian strikes on energy facilities, a decision had been made to declare a state of emergency in the energy sector.
