Robert "Madyar" Brovdi confirmed a strike on the Russian chemical enterprise PhosAgro in Cherepovets, Vologda region, according to "Madyar’s" post on Telegram.

"Bon Apatit (wordplay: 'Apatit' sounds similar to 'appetite' - ed.) to the Cherepovets chemical plant — the household Easter eggs from the SBS Birds have been delivered (SBS - Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine - ed.)," he wrote.

According to Brovdi, this is a large enterprise that produces ammonia, ammonium nitrate, and nitric acid.

"The products serve as raw materials for the production of TNT, hexogen, and other components used in the manufacture of ammunition," he added.

What is known about the strike on the chemical plant

On the night of April 13, drones attacked an industrial zone in Russia’s Cherepovets, where the Apatit plant is located, which is part of the PhosAgro group.

After the strike, a fire broke out at the facility. Regional authorities officially reported only the alleged downing of drones, without mentioning any impact on the site.

According to OSINT analysts, the strike hit the ammonia production facilities — at least two workshops, Ammonia-1 and Ammonia-2, were damaged, with a combined capacity of about 900,000 tons per year.

This enterprise accounts for up to 10% of ammonia production in Russia, and its output is an important raw material for the defense industry, including the manufacture of explosives.
