'One of the most qualified people ever.' Michelle Obama praises Harris at DNC
The wife of the former US President, Michelle Obama, addressed delegates on the second day of the Democratic Party convention. In her speech, she supported Kamala Harris's candidacy, considering her one of the most qualified candidates for the highest office in the United States, citing The Washington Post and NBC News.
Michelle Obama noted that Harris's achievements already demonstrate how qualified the current vice president is to lead the country.
"Kamala Harris is more than ready for this moment. She is one of the most qualified people ever to seek the office of the presidency. And she is one of the most dignified." said the former US First Lady.
Obama also addressed voters who are still undecided about their choice in the upcoming election. She emphasized that the choice of the Harris-Walz team has a pragmatic foundation.
"We cannot be our own worst enemies. No, the minute something goes wrong, the minute a lie takes hold, we cannot start wringing our hands," she declared.
At the end of her speech, Michelle Obama called on the convention members to "do something" as the election campaign is becoming increasingly challenging, and no one can "stay on the sidelines."
