On Monday, January 29, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal had a conversation with Luxembourg Prime Minister Luc Frieden, according to the Ukrainian politician.

"I thanked Luxembourg for its leadership in creating the IT coalition, as well as for joining the F-16 coalition. We discussed the implementation of the joint agreements reached during the meeting between Mr. Frieden and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Davos," states Shmyhal.

According to him, during the conversation, they also discussed the issue of Ukraine's European integration and the support of the Ukraine Facility for 50 billion euros.

"We are grateful for the support regarding these and other issues. I have received assurances from my colleague that Luxembourg will continue to provide comprehensive assistance to Ukraine," the Prime Minister emphasized.

F-16 for Ukraine

Earlier, Ukraine's allies announced the creation of an aviation coalition to transfer modern F-16 fighter jets to our country. The coalition was led by the Netherlands and Denmark.

Recently, it became officially known that the first group of Ukrainian pilots completed the basic training program in the UK and began training on F-16 fighters in Denmark.

On December 22, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte said that the country's government had decided to prepare the first 18 F-16 fighters for transfer to Ukraine.

Apart from that, according to the Pentagon, Ukraine will be able to receive the first F-16 fighter jets already this year.
