Number of casualties in Zaporizhzhia rises to 21 after night attack
As a result of an overnight missile strike on Zaporizhzhia, the number of injured individuals has risen to 21. Among them are thirteen women and eight men who sought medical attention, according to the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.
Most of the injured sustained mine-explosive trauma. After medical examinations and first aid, the majority were discharged for further treatment at home.
Currently, two women remain in the hospital: a 94-year-old and a 23-year-old. Their condition is assessed as moderate, and doctors are optimistic about their recovery.
Night attack on Zaporizhzhia
On September 22, at around 11:00 PM, a series of explosions were heard in Zaporizhzhia. Prior to that, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had warned of a potential threat of airstrikes.
Later, the head of the Regional Military Administration and the National Police of Zaporizhzhia region reported that the occupiers had likely used guided aerial bombs. Six strikes on the city and its surroundings were recorded, occurring between 10:19 PM and 11:04 PM.
As a result of the attack, 13 apartment buildings, educational institutions, private homes, garages, and cars were damaged. In total, Russian forces carried out at least seven airstrikes on Zaporizhzhia and its district.
