North Korea threatens South Korea: 'All means of attack' will be prepared
North Korea accused South Korea of drone launches that allegedly reached its capital. The DPRK threatened Seoul to respond with force, according to The Washington Post.
The North Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs claimed that supposed South Korean drones were spotted three times near Pyongyang - on October 3, 9, and 10. The DPRK claims that the drones were dispersing propaganda leaflets.
North Korea accused South Korea of violating its "sacred" sovereignty and threatening its security.
Pyongyang asserted that it would prepare "all means of attack" and launch a counterstrike without warning if South Korean drones were detected again on its territory.
South Korea has not responded to North Korea's intimidation.
Conflict between South and North Korea
The conflict between the two countries has persisted for many years, particularly due to North Korea's aggressive policies and rhetoric.
Tensions have escalated in recent months as North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has intensified weapon tests and threats. In response, South Korea has increased joint military exercises with the United States.
On Wednesday, October 9, North Korea claimed it would permanently close its border with South Korea and construct defensive structures to counter the forces of South Korea and the United States.
