The visit of U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin to Kyiv on November 20 negates Russia's attempts to impose the idea of "U.S. fatigue with Ukraine." In addition, it was fruitful in two other ways, states Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov on Telegram.

"I am convinced that Secretary Austin's productive visit negates any attempts by our enemies to impose the idea of 'U.S. fatigue with Ukraine'. On the contrary, this and future visits and meetings with our allies and partners from around the world only emphasize the power and importance of military diplomacy," he wrote.

In addition, according to the Ministry of Defense, the parties discussed Ukraine's plans to counter Russian aggression, current and future needs on the battlefield for their implementation, and ways to further assist the United States and its allies.

"We had a fruitful conversation about Ukraine's current and future needs on the battlefield and how the United States and its allies can help meet them," Umerov noted.

Another important topic was NATO.

"Ukraine has chosen its path: to become a member of the Alliance. Therefore, NATOization is one of the main priorities of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine," the minister added.
