The military parade on May 9 in Moscow will take place without military equipment due to the so-called terrorist activity of Kyiv. It is also because the year is not an anniversary, said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
"The Kyiv regime, which is losing land every day, losing land on the battlefield, has now fully deployed terrorist activity. And therefore, against the background, against the background of this terrorist threat, of course, all measures are being taken to minimize danger," Peskov said.
According to him, the parade will take place, but not like last year, because that was an "anniversary parade".
"Let us not forget that last year it was an anniversary parade. Large-scale, one that should be on a round date. This date is not an anniversary, but the parade will still take place, yes, albeit in reduced format," said the spokesman of the Russian president.
Parade in Moscow
The military parade in Moscow on May 9 will take place without the traditional display of armored vehicles. Only foot columns of military personnel will march on Red Square.
However, during the parade, they promise to show the work of military personnel carrying out combat tasks in Ukraine, as well as those on duty in the Strategic Missile Forces, Aerospace Forces, and Navy.
Air part of the event will remain: flyover of aerobatic groups is planned, and at the end, attack aircraft Su-25 are expected to paint the sky in colors of the Russian flag.
