The United States of America (USA) does not need to use military force regarding Greenland, as "an agreement can be reached" on the island, JD Vance, 50th Vice President of the United States of America, says in an interview, according to FOX News.

"We don't need to use military force. People forget that we already have troops (military contingent - ed.) in Greenland," said the politician.

JD Vance added that during a recent visit by Trump's son to Greenland, local residents allegedly expressed a desire "to have the right to develop their own resources."

At the same time, Vance stated that Denmark allegedly did not do enough for the island's security, and Washington now has the opportunity "to take the initiative in ensuring the security of Greenland and exploiting its natural resources."

"And that's what Donald Trump does best. He knows how to make deals, and I think an agreement can be reached on Greenland," the Vice President concluded.

Trump's ambitions

During his first presidential term, Trump expressed interest in purchasing Greenland. This time, after several subsequent messages, King Frederik X of Denmark changed the royal coat of arms, making Greenland and the Faroe Islands more prominent.

Meanwhile, the media reports that the statements from the Republicans may be related to the policy of countering Russia and China.
