Night drone attack: Ukrainian Air Forces intercept majority of Russian drones

On the night of January 22, Russia attacked Ukraine with 94 attack drones from multiple directions. Air defense forces shot down 80 hostile uncrewed aerial vehicles, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.
According to the military, from 18:00 on January 21 until the morning of January 22, Russia attacked with 94 attack drones of the Shahed type, Gerbera, and other types of unmanned aerial vehicles from the directions of Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), and Chauda and Hvardiiske in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea. About 55 of them were Shahed drones.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, as of 09:00, air defense forces shot down or suppressed 80 hostile Shahed-type unmanned aerial vehicles, Gerbera, and other drone types.
Impacts by 10 attack drones were recorded at 10 locations, as well as the fall of downed drones (debris) at four locations.
"The attack is ongoing, and several hostile unmanned aerial vehicles remain in the airspace. Follow safety rules," the Air Force warned.
Attacks on Ukraine
On the night of January 22, Russian forces attacked Kryvyi Rih and Pavlohrad in the Dnipropetrovsk region. As a result of the attack, private houses and vehicles were damaged, and a woman was injured.
Russian forces also attacked the Odesa region with attack drones. One hostile unmanned aerial vehicle struck a multi-storey residential building at night.
On the night of January 21, Russia attacked Ukraine with an Iskander-M ballistic missile and 97 attack drones from multiple directions. Air defense forces managed to shoot down most of the hostile targets.
At the same time, impacts of a ballistic missile and 13 attack drones were recorded at 11 locations, as well as the fall of downed drones (debris) at one location.
In particular, Russian forces carried out a ballistic missile attack on Kryvyi Rih. As a result of the attack, many buildings and vehicles in the city were damaged.
Russian forces also carried out attacks on Zaporizhzhia. Damage was reported in the city following the attack.
Yesterday during the day, Russian drones again attacked the Odesa region, causing fires. As a result of the attack, residential and industrial infrastructure was damaged, and one person was injured.
