On the night of January 21, Russia attacked Ukraine with an Iskander-M ballistic missile and 97 strike drones from different directions. Ukrainian air defense forces shot down most of the Russian targets, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.

From 6 p.m. Kyiv time on January 20 to the morning of January 21, the Russians attacked Ukraine with one Iskander-M ballistic missile from Crimea and 97 Shahed and Gerbera strike drones and other types of drones from the following directions: Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk of Russia, Chauda of temporarily occupied Crimea, and temporarily occupied Donetsk. About 70 of them were Shahed drones.

Russian air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare, and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 8:30 a.m., Ukrainian air defense forces shot down/suppressed 84 Russian Shahed, Gerbera, and other types of drones in the north, south, and east of Ukraine.

A Russian ballistic missile and 13 strike drones were recorded hitting 11 locations, as well as the fall of downed drones (debris) at one location.

"Russian attack continues, with several Russian drones in the Ukrainian airspace. Follow the safety rules!" warns the Ukrainian Air Force.

Russian strike on Ukraine

On the night of January 21, the Russians launched a ballistic missile strike on Kryvyi Rih, damaging many houses and cars in the city.

The Russian troops also launched another strike on Zaporizhzhia. Damage was reported in the city.

On the night of January 20, Russia attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles and drones. Powerful explosions were heard in the city, and power and water outages were reported.

According to the authorities, Russia struck the Dniprovskyi district of the capital, destroying non-residential buildings, and one of the drones fell in an open area, where cars caught fire.

In addition, one victim of the Russian attack in the Dniprovskyi district is being treated at a hospital.
