Night attack on Ukraine: Russia launches drones and four types of missiles
Russia launched drones and four types of missiles, including ballistic ones, at Ukraine from the evening of October 18 to the morning of October 19. Ukrainian air defense forces successfully intercepted some of these targets, reports the Ukrainian Air Force.
Between 8:00 PM on October 18th and 5:00 AM on October 19th, the occupiers attacked Ukraine, launching:
- 5 Iskander M ballistic missiles
- a guided surface-to-air missile S-300
- a guided aviation missile Kh-59
- a cruise missile (type not specified)
- 9 Shahed-136/131 attack drones.
The enemy's targets included industrial, infrastructure, civilian, and military facilities. The regions of Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia were targeted.
The Ukrainian air defense forces successfully intercepted four targets, including 3 Shahed drones and a guided aviation missile Kh-59.
Ukraine shelling
Late in the evening on October 18, the occupiers struck Sumy with a Shahed, targeting an infrastructure facility.
Furthermore, after midnight, the Russians targeted Mykolaiv, causing a fire and damaging multi-story buildings.
Additionally, explosions were heard in Kryvyi Rih during the night. Later, authorities reported that an enemy missile had been intercepted in the region.
