The President of Serbia has warned that his country is preparing for possible attacks from Croatia, Albania, and Kosovo, emphasizing that Belgrade is closely monitoring the military cooperation of this alliance, the Anadolu Agency (AA) reports.
"They are waiting for a favorable moment. We are preparing for their attack," Vučić said in an interview with Radio Television of Serbia (RTS).
He referenced a trilateral defense cooperation declaration signed by Croatia, Albania, and Kosovo in Tirana on March 18, 2025, aimed at strengthening security cooperation and operational interoperability among their armed forces.
Vučić highlighted Serbia's military strength, noting that the country possesses Chinese air-to-ground hypersonic missiles capable of reaching targets up to 400 kilometers away.
"We have Chinese hypersonic missiles, air-to-ground, with a range of up to 400 kilometers," he said, calling them among the most advanced weapon systems.
At the same time, Vučić stressed that Serbia maintains good relations with NATO while pursuing a policy of military neutrality.
Commenting on relations with Croatia, he accused Zagreb of attempting to undermine Serbia over the past year and a half and of interfering in its domestic affairs.
The Serbian leader's statements come amid ongoing debates over security and defense policy in the Western Balkans, where military modernization and political tensions have intensified in recent years.
World moves back toward wars
Aleksandar Vučić's warnings echo his remarks from October 2025, when he said that everyone is preparing for war, and the key question is which side countries align with.
Meanwhile, in broader international developments, on February 28, the United States and Israel began bombing Iran to curb Tehran's nuclear ambitions and destroy its nuclear arsenal. Despite President Donald Trump claiming near-complete success, reports from the Wall Street Journal suggest that the US does not intend to end the operation in the coming weeks.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned that the cooperation between Russia and Iran poses a serious threat and could potentially trigger a third world war.
