David Cameron, in his inaugural visit to Washington as the head of the British Foreign Ministry, aims to persuade the United States of the necessity to bolster military and financial assistance to Ukraine, according to Reuters.

According to him, debates are currently underway in American political circles regarding aid to Kyiv. Nevertheless, he expressed confidence that arguments in favor of European security being American security will prevail.

He said that he wants to assure the U.S. that the UK will stay the course and mobilize other allies as well.

Cameron also emphasized that the economic potential of NATO member countries allows for supporting Ukraine but is not fully utilized.

He said that combined economies of countries supporting Ukraine in its struggle against Russia would overturn Russia in a ratio of thirty to one.
