Netherlands to allocate 700 million euros for drones for Ukraine

The Netherlands will provide financial assistance for drones to Ukraine, with an allocation of 700 million euros, stated Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.
"I continue my work on a business trip, today – the Netherlands. I’m happy to meet with my friend, Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans," Umerov noted.
He mentioned that the Netherlands is among the leaders in supporting Ukraine and added that this support remains unchanged.
"The Netherlands is allocating 700 million euros for drones for Ukraine," Umerov said.
According to him, they also discussed the development of the Drone Line with their Dutch counterparts.
"We specifically discussed this important project, which helps scale modern combat experience. The Netherlands is ready to support it and contribute to its expansion," he said.
The Minister also emphasized that strengthening air defense remains one of Ukraine’s main priorities.
"We discussed specific steps that will help Ukraine more effectively counter Russian missile and drone attacks," Umerov concluded.

Meanwhile, Poland has begun providing Ukraine with the 46th aid package, amounting to 200 million euros.
Additionally, the European Commission and the European Investment Bank announced that they will sign a guarantee agreement worth 1.95 billion euros. This agreement will provide support for investment programs under the Ukrainian Fund in the EU's multiannual budget for 2024-2027.
It is also worth noting that Ukraine recently signed one of the largest security agreements in its history.
Norway has also joined the effort, with the country increasing its funding for Ukraine's support program. The total funding will exceed 7 billion dollars.
