The issue of supporting Ukraine, as well as achieving a strong and lasting peace, will be discussed during the NATO summit in The Hague, RBC-Ukraine reports, citing NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.

"At the summit today, we will discuss how to make sure that Ukraine over the coming years continues to count on the support of NATO countries. This is needed to keep Ukraine in the fight (Russia's invasion - ed.), but also make sure that we can bring Ukraine to a durable and lasting peace," Rutte said.

The NATO member states' summit is taking place in The Hague from June 24 to 25. As part of the summit, a meeting of the NATO–Ukraine Council will also be held.

As reported by Bloomberg, which reviewed a draft of the summit's final communiqué, the document will not include a promise to admit Ukraine into the Alliance. However, in recent years, NATO summit declarations have referred to Ukraine's membership as inevitable.

Yesterday, June 24, the White House announced that the President of the United States, Donald Trump, may meet with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the sidelines of the summit. This information was also confirmed by the Head of the Ukrainian Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak.
