US President Donald Trump may meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during the NATO summit currently taking place in The Hague, the White House confirmed the statement, according to Sky News and Agence France-Presse.

What led up to this

Earlier today, Zelenskyy stated that he plans to meet with US leader Donald Trump on the sidelines of the NATO summit. According to him, the Ukrainian and US teams are discussing the timing and agenda of the upcoming bilateral meeting.

Later, during his visit to The Hague, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak held talks with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Among other topics, they discussed the upcoming meeting between President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the head of the White House, Donald Trump.

What the White House says

According to Sky News, the White House has confirmed that Trump plans to meet with Zelenskyy during the NATO summit in The Hague.

Additionally, Agence France-Presse reports that the meeting between Zelenskyy and Trump is scheduled for Wednesday as part of the NATO summit in The Hague.

The last time Trump and Zelenskyy met was in April at the funeral of Pope Francis.

Earlier, Axios, citing an anonymous source, reported that US President Donald Trump plans to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Canada. The main topic of the talks is expected to be arms supplies.

"Indeed, one of the issues I will discuss with President Trump at the meeting is the defense package that Ukraine is ready to purchase. We will talk this over. I am confident that we will have this opportunity," Zelenskyy emphasized.
