Iran is likely to start supplying missiles to its ally Russia for use in the war against Ukraine, says the Chair of the NATO Military Committee, Rob Bauer.

Bauer noted that he anticipates the delivery of Iranian missiles to Russia, as Moscow has repeatedly sought such assistance.

However, he mentioned that the use of Iranian missiles by Russian forces has not been observed yet.

Russian support from Iran

It's worth noting that Iran is considered an ally of Russia in the war against Ukraine. Iran has notably supplied its Shahed kamikaze drones to the occupiers.

Russian soldiers actively use Iranian drones to launch attacks on Ukraine's civilian infrastructure, leading to casualties and injuries among the civilian population.

Additionally, Russia seeks to obtain Iranian ballistic missiles to conduct strikes against Ukraine. Recent reports from Western media, citing unnamed U.S. officials, suggested that Russia might buy missiles from Iran, with deliveries potentially starting this spring.

Officials clarified that an agreement regarding the transfer of missiles between the two countries has not been concluded at this point.
