The Joint Forces Task Force struck a group of Russian troops on motorcycles with drones as they attempted to break through the front line, according to the unit's Telegram channel.
"UAV operators promptly detected and struck an enemy motorcycle group during an attempted breakthrough. Enemy equipment and personnel were destroyed on the approaches," the Task Force said.
Footage shared on social media shows enemy troops on motorcycles trying to quickly push toward Ukrainian positions, but the drones did their job — the video shows an explosion and a massive column of smoke.
The Russian troops were eliminated almost simultaneously at several different locations, with drone strikes destroying both equipment and personnel.
Number of attacks, active frontline directions
The Joint Forces Task Force reported earlier that over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian troops repelled more than 32 assaults attempted by Russia.
Russian forces tried attacks from the Southern-Slobozhanskyi, Kupiansk, and Lyman directions. The list of settlements targeted by Russian shelling on Ukrainian positions includes Starytsia, Vovchansk, Lyman, Novoosynove, Radkivka, Hlushkivka, Hrekivka, Novoiehorivka, Novoserhiivka, Zelenyi Hai, and Stavky, among others.
Russia's plans, search for new tactics
Recently, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi said Russia intends to seize all of Ukraine, not just Donbas. However, Ukrainian forces are systematically weakening their ability to wage war.
At the same time, Syrskyi stressed that it is not realistic to expect a rapid depletion of Russian reserves.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also recently said that Russia is trying to intensify assault activity along the front line but is suffering even greater losses. In addition, the Russian army has failed to meet its own deadlines in three regions.
They are the Sumy, Kharkiv, and Donetsk regions, where Russian forces did not meet the timelines set by their command.
As of April 25, Russia has suffered over 1,000 personnel losses at the front. During the same period, Ukrainian Armed Forces and other Defense Forces teams also achieved success in destroying Russian artillery (29 units), drones (1,257 units), and vehicles with fuel tankers (166 units), according to the General Staff.
