Morning missile strike: Russians hit Kryvyi Rih district
Explosions were heard this morning, February 2, in the Kryvyi Rih district of the Dnipropetrovsk region. At the time, a ballistic missile threat was declared, and a high-speed target was detected moving toward Kryvyi Rih, reports Serhii Lysak, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, and Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council.
The head of the Regional Military Administration stated on Telegram that the morning in the Dnipropetrovsk region "began with an air raid alarm" and that it was "loud" in the Kryvyi Rih district.
He did not provide details about the enemy missile attack on the region but noted that information is still being clarified.
According to the head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council, the region came under attack in the morning.
"The enemy attacked the Kryvyi Rih district this morning. Details are being clarified," his post stated.
At the same time, Vilkul emphasized that all services, public transport, hospitals, and social institutions in Kryvyi Rih are operating as usual.
The Air Force reported a ballistic missile threat from the south shortly before 7 a.m. Shortly after, the military confirmed detecting a high-speed target moving toward Kryvyi Rih.
At 7:24 a.m., the Air Force announced that the ballistic missile threat had been lifted.
Earlier, on January 17, Russian forces launched a ballistic missile strike on Kryvyi Rih, damaging residential buildings and an educational institution. The attack left several people injured and claimed four lives.
