More weapons and new initiatives: Ukraine's Defense Minister summarizes Ramstein-14
Ramstein-14 online meeting between Ukraine and its allies focused on prioritizing the supply of weapons and equipment urgently required for the liberation of Russian-occupied territories, according to Minister of Defense Oleksii Reznikov.
Reznikov emphasized that Ramstein-14 showed unwavering support from Ukraine's partners. He summarized the key outcomes of the meeting:
- Priority: the supply of weapons and equipment urgently required for the liberation of Ukrainian territories
- Focus: Air defense, ammo, and armor.
- New initiatives.
- Development of an IT coalition and the initiative to create a demining coalition.
Reznikov thanked allies for their assistance, particularly acknowledging the leadership of Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin while Ramstein meeting. He also thanked Luxembourg and Estonia for their contributions to the IT coalition and Lithuania for its efforts in the demining coalition.
Ramstein-14 meeting
On July 18, the Ukraine Defense Contact Group held its fourteenth meeting.
As a result, Ukraine will receive M113 armored vehicles from the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Belgium. Additionally, the United States has announced a $1.3 billion aid package.
