At least eight people were injured in Kharkiv on July 7 during Shahed-type drone strikes. Russian forces targeted civilian infrastructure, according to the statements from Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov and regional governor Oleh Syniehubov.

Officials confirmed that drones struck buildings in two districts of Kharkiv, Shevchenkivskyi and Slobidskyi.

"In the Slobidskyi district of Kharkiv, two people were injured as a result of the attack. They are receiving medical assistance. Civilian facilities, including a kindergarten building, were damaged," said Governor Oleh Syniehubov.

According to him, the total number of injured across both districts has risen to eight, six in Shevchenkivskyi district and two in Slobidskyi.

Mayor Ihor Terekhov added that in the second district, the strikes hit residential buildings and a civilian facility. Among the injured were two children.

Drone attack on Ukraine - July 7

Russia launched Shahed-type strike drones toward Ukraine on the evening of July 6. Overnight, air raid alerts spread across multiple regions due to the threat.

Around 1:00 AM, Odesa Regional Governor Oleh Kiper warned that Odesa was under drone attack. Local channels reported explosions, followed by additional blasts.

Kyiv also came under attack, with drone debris falling in two districts.

In Kharkiv, drones hit residential buildings, sparking fires and causing structural damage.
