Missile attack on Kharkiv: Number of casualties increased again, debris removal completed
In Kharkiv, the number of people injured as a result of Russian missile strikes on the city has increased to 46. Emergency rescue operations at the impact sites have now been completed, according to the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region.
Emergency services reported that the death toll from yesterday's Russian shelling in Kharkiv remains unchanged, with one person confirmed dead.
The State Emergency Service noted that emergency rescue operations and debris clearance in the city were completed by midnight.
In total, 200 cubic meters of construction waste were removed by the service personnel, municipal workers, and volunteers.
Additionally, psychologists from the State Emergency Service were present at the scene, assisting a total of 15 individuals.
"As a result of the enemy missile strikes, one person was killed and 46 others were injured," the service stated.
The State Emergency Service also reported that, in total, rescuers from the Kharkiv and Ivano-Frankivsk emergency response units, two teams from the Special Rapid Response Center of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, as well as municipal services and canine units from volunteer organizations, were involved in addressing the aftermath of the enemy strike on the residential building in Kharkiv.
Russian missile strike on Kharkiv on November 1
Explosions were reported in Kharkiv on Friday amid announcements from the Air Force regarding a Russian missile launch.
Following these developments, Oleh Syniehubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, stated that Russian forces struck a private residential building in Kharkiv with a ballistic missile.
Later, the head of Ukraine’s National Police, Ivan Vyhovskyi, reported that the enemy targeted a police station in Kharkiv with a missile strike. He confirmed that one police officer was killed, and 30 others were injured.
By late evening, the number of injured in Kharkiv had risen to 40. The Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that Russian forces used an S-400 missile system to carry out the shelling of the city.
