Media speculate on date for Ukraine-Russia talks: Ukrainian side comments
Foreign media outlets will begin publishing a series of articles speculating on the dates for the end of the war and negotiations between Ukraine and Russia. However, this information is not accurate, Andriy Kovalenko, Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation reports.
"There will be a whole series of publications in the media with dates for the end of the war, months when 'negotiations will begin,' and similar topics. This is a hyped subject, and it is understandable why foreign media are covering it. However, our platforms and media need to approach this more prudently. Currently, the information circulating in the media of various countries does not correspond to reality at all," stated Kovalenko.
According to the Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, it is crucial to remember that intense battles continue on the front lines, and the war remains active. Kovalenko reminded that the Russians are conducting offensive operations in the east of Ukraine and applying pressure in the Kursk region.
"All of this requires resilience from the Defense Forces and a focused effort from the entire sector dealing with national security, with an exclusive emphasis on the defense of the state," noted Kovalenko.
Negotiations with Russia
As previously reported, former US President Donald Trump harshly addressed Russian leader Vladimir Putin, urging him to sit down at the negotiation table to end the war against Ukraine. Trump stated that otherwise, he would implement tough measures to force Moscow to comply.
Also, recently, Russian President Vladimir Putin claimed that Kyiv has allegedly a ban on negotiations with Russia.
