Massive strike on Ukraine: Russia injures over 70, damages 100 facilities

Russia shelled Ukraine for more than 12 hours. So far, four people have been reported killed and over 70 injured, including two rescuers, according to Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko.
During the night and morning of September 28, the occupiers continuously attacked Ukrainian cities and civilian infrastructure. Residents of Kyiv and 10 regions of the country suffered from the consequences of the strikes.
More than 1,500 rescuers and police officers have been deployed to eliminate the aftermath.
Casualties and injured
As a result of the attacks, four people were killed, including a 12-year-old girl who was crushed by a concrete slab. At the cardiology institute, a nurse and a patient lost their lives. Another person died at the site of a strike on civilian infrastructure.
Across Ukraine, more than 70 people are currently reported injured. At some locations, the strikes devastated entire neighborhoods. During recovery operations, structures collapsed, injuring two rescuers who are receiving medical assistance.
Work of rescuers and police
Police investigators are documenting evidence of Russian war crimes and working with those affected. More than 700 reports of damaged or destroyed property have already been filed, and the number continues to rise.
In Zaporizhzhia, at least 30 residents of a multi-story building were injured, including three children.
In the Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Sumy, and Odesa regions, the State Emergency Service has extinguished all fires. Robotic equipment is being used to reduce risks for rescuers.
As a result of Russia’s attacks, more than 100 civilian facilities have been damaged across the country, including residential buildings and medical institutions.

Earlier we reported that the occupiers carried out a combined strike, launching 643 targets at Ukraine, including 595 drones of various types and 48 missiles. Air defense forces intercepted 611 aerial targets.
In Kyiv, the greatest damage was inflicted on a residential complex in Petropavlivska Borshchahivka. According to our correspondent, this concerns the Lvivskyi residential complex.
