Massive attack on Kyiv: Cardiology institute, gas station among 20 sites hit

On September 28, Russia carried out a massive strike on Kyiv. The hits were recorded at about 20 locations; there were victims, in particular, a child was killed.

The Russians attacked the capital and the Kyiv region with missiles and drones in the morning. For several hours in Kyiv and the region, explosions sounded, and air defense was working.
"As of now, more than 15 locations have damage. Including there are drone hits in multi-storey residential buildings, in particular in the Solomianskyi district," said the head of the KMVA, Tymur Tkachenko.

Hit in a five-storey building, from under the rubble, the body of a 12-year-old girl was freed, three people rescued, and one person was injured. Also damaged was the building of the Institute of Cardiology, where two people died.
There was a fire of a two-storey non-residential structure. At other addresses, hits were recorded in a warehouse building and a private residential house.
According to Kyiv mayor Vitali Klitschko, in the Solomianskyi district as a result of falling debris a fire broke out at a gas station. It has already been extinguished.

A hit in a one-storey private residential house occurred. At another address, another private house caught fire.
Sviatoshynskyi.

Victims and injured
As of 9:50 a.m. Kyiv time, it is known that about 13 people were injured in Kyiv, and about four people are dead.
According to preliminary information, two people died as a result of the hit in the building of the Institute of Cardiology. In the Solomianskyi district, from under the rubble of a building, the body of a 12-year-old child was freed. At another location, the body of another deceased was found.
Massive attack on Ukraine
On the night of September 28, the Russians attacked not only Kyiv but also the Kyiv region and Zaporizhzhia.
The Russian forces delivered several strikes on Zaporizhzhia. One of the missiles hit near a residential nine-storey building; as a result, fires broke out. It is already known that about 21 people were injured in Zaporizhzhia.
Also, the Russians massively attacked the Kyiv region. In Petropavlivska Borshchahivka near Kyiv, a residential complex was heavily damaged. According to local authorities, the number of injured as a result of the enemy attack on the Kyiv region has grown to 27 people.
