According to updated data, in Ukraine, due to today's Russian missile and drone strikes in various cities, the death toll has reached thirty people. Emergency Service workers managed to rescue over fifty citizens, reports Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko.

"Today, our titans from the State Emergency Service rescued 53 individuals, with 8 of those rescued from under the rubble," the official has stated in his Telegram post.

The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs notes that currently, there is information about 30 fatalities and over 160 injured as a result of the morning's massive strike by Russian terrorists on Ukrainian territory.

The minister also expresses gratitude to everyone who "rescued, assisted, cared for, and did the impossible for the sake of saving others" today.

Massive Russian strike on Ukraine

Starting from this night of December 29, Russian occupiers carried out missile and drone strikes on Ukraine. In total, terrorists launched 158 missiles of various types and strike drones. Using the air defense means of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, 27 Shahed drones and 87 cruise missiles X-101/X-555/X-55 were intercepted.

As a result of this extensive attack, missile hits were reported in Kyiv and its region, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Lviv, Konotop, Odesa, and beyond. Fires broke out in buildings, particularly in high-rise structures.
