In Ukraine, the number of casualties and affected individuals has increased as a result of today's mass attack by the Russian forces, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

In particular, as of 17:00, the number of casualties due to today's shelling in Ukraine has risen to 127. It is known that 5 people have died.

The State Emergency Service has announced that rescue teams are still active in cities:

  • The elimination of fires is ongoing at two addresses in the Podilskyi district of Kyiv

  • In Kharkiv, work is underway to dismantle emergency structures of a residential building

Massive Russian strike

Recall that today, on January 2, Russian occupiers attempted to attack Ukraine with missiles and kamikaze drones called Shahed.

The main target of the missile strike was Kyiv. The enemy launched a large number of cruise missiles at the capital, as well as 10 hypersonic Kinzhal missiles.

The air defense forces managed to shoot down 72 Russian missiles. As a result of debris falling in Kyiv, there are casualties.
