Russian forces targeted residential areas

According to Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych, damage has so far been reported in private homes and apartment buildings.

"We are inspecting the buildings and determining the scope of work. Russian aggressors continue to terrorise civilians, attacking residential areas and seeking to kill as many Ukrainians as possible," he said.

Who else was injured

According to the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, four civilians were injured in the Russian attack, and an investigation has been launched.

Preliminary findings show that the enemy used:

  • Two guided aerial bombs,
  • Five cruise missiles,
  • Two jet-powered unmanned aerial vehicles.

Four civilians were injured as a result of the Russian attack. The prosecutor's office said that, in addition to the elderly man from the Mykolaiv district, three Mykolaiv residents were injured — two men and a woman.

Fires broke out at several sites as a result of the Russian attacks.

Earlier, it was reported that overnight on July 27, Russia attacked civilian merchant vessels in ports of the Mykolaiv region. The strike killed one person and injured others.
