Market near Kyiv hit by Russian strike: Deaths and nearly 10 injuries reported

Russia attacked Sofiivska Borshchahivka village in the Kyiv region on the evening of September 27, with a strike confirmed at the Stolychnyi market, according to acting Borshchahivka village head Oleksandr Medvid and the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
"Stolychnyi market in Sofiivska Borshchahivka was hit as a result of an enemy air attack. All relevant services are heading to the scene. Information is being clarified," Medvid wrote.
He later reported that two people were currently known to have been killed in the attack.
"Rescuers and all relevant services are working at the scene. Efforts are underway to put out the fire and deal with the aftermath of the attack. Be careful and take care of yourselves. Do not ignore air raid alerts," Oleksandr Medvid urged civilians.
The Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office explained that a strike drone hit the market grounds during Russia's attack on Sofiivska Borshchahivka village in Bucha district.
So far, about 10 people are known to have been injured.
Earlier today, on September 27, Russia struck an orphanage in Sumy city with an aerial bomb, killing and injuring people.
The media also reported that Russian forces targeted the Darnytsia pharmaceutical plant in Kyiv.
