The fire was recorded on satellite images taken on the morning of February 24. It is worth noting that this is one of the key hubs for transporting Russian oil.

What is known about the strike at the Kaleikino station

Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that long-range SBU drones attacked the main oil pumping station near Almetyevsk in Tatarstan.

The facility receives oil from Western Siberia and the Volga region, blends it, and prepares it for export. The station is also a critical hub for the Druzhba oil pipeline, which transports crude oil, including to Europe.

During the strike, at least six explosions were heard, after which a large-scale fire broke out at the site. Oil storage tanks were reported to be on fire.

The distance from the Ukrainian border to the Kaleykino oil pumping station exceeds 1,200 kilometers.

Notably, this was the second attack on Tatarstan in recent days. On February 21, drone attacks were reported in Tatarstan, prompting the cancellation of Maslenitsa festivities in Kazan.

Additionally, we reported that residents in Russia’s Krasnodar region also reported a drone attack and a fire at an oil facility. Numerous photos and videos of the aftermath of strikes by unidentified drones appeared on social media.
