The main target of Russia's night attack was the energy sector. Therefore, partners must provide Ukraine with enough air defense systems to counter the enemy and force Moscow to negotiations, said President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, according to the press service of the head of state.

"Last night, Russia's air terror against our cities and our infrastructure continued again. The main targets are our energy facilities. There were 96 strike drones, most of which were shot down, but unfortunately, not all," Zelenskyy wrote.

He also recalled that last night, Russian forces struck Kharkiv with aerial bombs, hitting the city hospital, as a result of which 57 people were injured.

"An absolutely terrorist, cynical strike on the place where lives are being saved. They also hit energy infrastructure in the region," the president added.

Zelenskyy also listed other consequences of today's Russian attack and called on partners to provide Ukraine with more air defense systems to stop Moscow's "air terror."

"Every day and every night, Russia strikes power plants and power lines, and our gas facilities are under attack. The world can deprive Moscow of the ability to carry out these brutal attacks against life. Partners know what is needed for this: Patriot, NASAMS, SAMP/T, and other vital systems," the head of state said.

According to him, Ukraine counts on the actions of the United States, Europe, the G7, and all partners who possess these systems and can provide them to protect the population.

"Ukraine needs enough air defense means to close the sky from missiles, drones, and guided bombs. Then Russia's air terror will lose any meaning. The world must force Moscow to sit down at the table for real negotiations. Only peace through strength can bring results," Zelenskyy concluded.

The president's press service also published footage showing the aftermath of Russia's attacks on the night of October 14.

Attacks on Ukraine

Last night, the enemy dropped guided aerial bombs on Kharkiv, causing fires and injuries among residents.

The Kirovohrad region also came under enemy attack. As a result of the strike, several train routes were changed.

The Air Force reported nearly one hundred Russian strike drones launched into Ukrainian territory during the night of October 13–14.
