Lithuanians launch €1 million drone fundraising campaign for Ukraine

In Lithuania, the non-governmental organization Blue/Yellow launched a fundraiser for drones for Ukraine on Monday, July 14. The goal is to raise 1 million euros, LRT informs.
The organizers noted that the funds raised through the Dronatonas campaign will be directed towards purchasing various drones, equipment for controlling them, and accessories.
"We see that every night, hundreds of drones try to bomb Ukrainian cities, intimidating residents. At the same time, this is a relatively inexpensive but very effective tool. More than two-thirds of all frontline requests we receive are related to drones. That’s why our goal for this summer is drones, drones, and more drones," said Blue/Yellow co-founder Jonas Ohmanas.
The Dronatonas campaign will run until September 14.
Since the start of the war, Blue/Yellow has already purchased over 5,000 various types of drones and accessories for Ukraine. Since beginning its activities in 2014, the Lithuanians have donated 100 million euros to Ukraine through the organization.
Aid from Lithuania
In April, Lithuania’s Defense Minister Dovilė Šakalienė announced that her country would allocate 20 million euros for the purchase of ammunition for Ukrainian defenders.
Previously, in 2022, Lithuanians raised funds to buy a Bayraktar drone for Ukrainian soldiers.
