Syrnyky without flour and sugar are a healthy alternative to the classic recipe. It is ideal for those who follow a proper diet or are watching their weight. Here’s what you can add instead of flour in syrnyky.

List of ingredients

To prepare a tasty and healthy breakfast, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 500 g of farmer's cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons of semolina
  • a pinch of salt

Ingredients for the sauce:

  • 300 g of cream (33–36% fat)
  • 200 g of milk
  • 3–4 tablespoons of honey
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar

Easy preparation method

To make the syrnyky, mix all the ingredients in a bowl and knead thoroughly with a masher until smooth. Then set the mixture aside for 30–40 minutes to allow the semolina to absorb the moisture and swell.

For the sauce, combine all the ingredients in a saucepan and whisk until smooth. Then place over heat and bring almost to a boil, stirring constantly.

Use semolina instead of flour to prevent the syrnyky from sticking to your hands while shaping them.

Pour oil into a preheated frying pan and fry the syrnyky on both sides until golden brown.

Add a few tablespoons of the prepared sauce to the bottom of a wide saucepan, place a layer of syrnyky, and pour the remaining sauce on top. Place over medium heat and bring to a boil.

The syrnyky will turn out incredibly juicy and are sure to please everyone.
