Famed French actress, singer, and fashion model Brigitte Bardot has died at the age of 91, according to Le Figaro.
Bardot was one of Europe's most famous actresses of the 1950s and 1960s and a major sex symbol of her era. Over a 20-year career, she appeared in 48 films and recorded about 80 songs.
She was born on September 28, 1934, in Paris. From an early age, she studied classical ballet and planned a career in dance, but was forced to change her plans due to an injury. She entered the modeling industry as a teenager: at 15, she appeared on the cover of Elle, which opened the door to a film career.
She achieved worldwide fame with her role in the 1956 film "And God Created Woman," directed by Roger Vadim. Other notable works include the dramas "The Truth" and "Contempt." Bardot worked with leading directors and actors of her time while simultaneously developing a music career in collaboration with Serge Gainsbourg.
In October 2025, the actress was hospitalized due to a deterioration in her health, and in November she was again treated at the Saint-Jean clinic in Toulon. Earlier, fake reports of her death had circulated on social media, which Brigitte personally denied in December.
Earlier, we reported that well-known American actor and popular TV series star Pat Finn had died. The performer, known for roles in the series "Friends," "Seinfeld," and "The Middle," passed away at the age of 60 at his home in Los Angeles.
