According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, 55 people have been killed and 156 injured in the past 24 hours due to Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon, reports CNN.

According to the ministry, of the total number of casualties, 22 individuals were killed and 47 injured in the city of Nabatiyeh.

It is important to note that on the night of October 1, southern areas of Beirut were struck by at least six Israeli airstrikes during an operation against Hezbollah. Several homes were destroyed as a result of the bombardment. The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that on September 30, 95 people were killed due to Israeli strikes.

Additionally, on the night of October 1, Israel launched a ground operation within Lebanese territory. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that Israeli ground forces were operating with the support of air and artillery strikes targeting military sites in Lebanon.
