Russia directly or indirectly finances many media figures in the US to fuel anti-Ukrainian rhetoric worldwide, states one of the most prominent conservative influencers in the US, Laura Loomer, in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.
Russia may be financing US podcasters
Loomer suspects that many major American podcasters may be receiving funds from Russians.
"I'd say that the media personalities, for sure, are probably being funded by Russia, whether they realize it or not," she says.
For example, Russia involves media figures in its broadcasts.
"You see this in the way that Russia tries to invite a lot of popular podcasters to participate in their political conferences or interviews, like Tucker Carlson – Tucker Qatarlson, as I call him," clarified Loomer.
In the influencer's opinion, Tucker Carlson interviewed former press secretary of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy (Yulia Mendel) to further inflame anti-Ukrainian rhetoric. For instance, he claims that Zelenskyy spends American taxpayers' money on cocaine.
Loomer raised this same question with Zelenskyy personally.
"I said, "Are you a drug addict? Are you using our taxpayer dollars to pay for drugs? Were you doing cocaine with Macron?' And he said no," assured the blogger.
As an example of the involvement of US podcasters in Russian media events, Loomer cited the economic forum in St. Petersburg.
"You see the way they invite Candace Owens to the Saint Petersburg Economic Forum, and the way that Alexander Dugin is promoting Tucker Qatarlson, Nick Fuentes, and Candace Owens, who are all very pro-Russian and anti-Ukraine," said Loomer.
According to Loomer, Russian leader Vladimir Putin is not seeking peace negotiations to end the war between Russia and Ukraine.
Loomer also suggested that the sharp rhetoric of US President Donald Trump regarding Volodymyr Zelenskyy might be linked to his criticism of the diesel deal with Putin.
Furthermore, according to Loomer, Trump is frustrated by the lack of noticeable progress in ending the war between Russia and Ukraine.
