"Latvia has been, is, and will be with Ukraine until a just and lasting peace is achieved," Silina said.
Latvia’s support for Ukraine
Since Russia’s full-scale invasion, Latvia has actively backed Ukraine with military aid, including weapons, equipment, ammunition, and training programs for Ukrainian troops.
Beyond military support, Latvia hosts Ukrainian refugees and provides humanitarian aid. Latvian officials advocate for holding Russia accountable for war crimes and champion Ukraine’s interests on the international stage.
In early July, Latvia pledged to deliver 42 Patria armored personnel carriers to Ukraine.
