Kyiv under heavy attack: High-rises on fire, kids among casualties

As of now, Kyiv is under a large-scale combined attack by Russian forces. Fires have been reported in several districts of the capital, and the number of injured has risen, including a child, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko on Telegram.
Currently, six people have been reported injured in the city. Three of them, including a 13-year-old child, have been hospitalized, while the others received medical assistance on-site.
In the Shevchenkivskyi district, debris struck a 14-story building, causing fires in apartments on the 4th and 5th floors. The fires have been successfully contained.
In addition, debris struck a 25-story residential building in the Solomianskyi district, igniting insulation and causing partial damage to the facade from the 1st to the 3rd floors. Cars in the courtyard were also damaged.
Debris also fell on the roof of a 17-story building in the Solomianskyi District, but preliminary reports indicate no fire occurred.
A fire was also reported in the private housing sector.
Debris hit the entrance of a three-story residential building in the Sviatoshynskyi district. Additionally, fragments fell on the roof of a two-story building in the Darnytskyi district.
What is known about the overnight Russian strike
In Kyiv and the Kyiv region, an air raid alert was declared around 23:00 Kyiv time. Explosions were heard in the city around midnight. Later, ballistic missiles were added to the drone attacks, and air defense systems are active in the capital.
As a result of the attack, at least six locations in different districts of the city have reported damage.
Additionally, Russia struck the Kharkiv region with guided aerial bombs - around 20:30 Kyiv time, the first explosions were heard in Kharkiv.
According to the head of the Derhachi Military Administration, Vyacheslav Zadorenko, the occupiers targeted energy infrastructure in the Kharkiv region. This may cause sharp voltage fluctuations for household consumers.
On the evening of November 28, a large-scale air raid alert was announced in Ukraine due to the takeoff of MiG-31Ks armed with Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles.
