As a result of the massive Russian strike on Kyiv, the number of dead has increased to 27 people, according to the State Emergency Service (DSNS).
One of the injured died in a medical facility, and emergency workers pulled the body of another victim from under the rubble of a building.
According to rescuers, search and rescue operations at the impact sites in the capital are continuing non-stop.
Parallel to the rising death toll, the number of injured civilians who sustained injuries of varying severity also continues to grow.
On the night of July 2, Russian units carried out a massive combined attack on Kyiv, launching a large number of missiles and strike drones, actively using jet-powered drones in particular. In the Darnytskyi district of the capital, a destructive missile strike hit a residential multi-story building.
Earlier, the head of the State Emergency Service reported that about 9 people could be trapped under the rubble of the damaged building.
The search operation continues around the clock. In turn, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy assured that after such a large-scale attack on civilian infrastructure, there will be a just response.
