Kyiv rocked by massive drone and missile assault, 16 injured in targeted strikes

On the night of June 6, 2025, Kyiv experienced one of the largest attacks. The Russian army used drones and ballistic missiles, deliberately targeting residential areas and civilian infrastructure. There are casualties, reports Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko.
So, as a result of the combined attack on Kyiv, there are 16 people injured. Most of them were hurt in the Holosiivskyi and Solomianskyi districts of the capital.
Ten of them were hospitalized, while the others received medical assistance on site.
What is known about the attack on Kyiv and its consequences
As a result of the combined attack on Kyiv, the following damages were recorded:
Solomianskyi district:
- A metal hangar of about 500 sq. m is on fire; the fire is still being extinguished.
- A fire occurred on the 11th floor of a 16-story residential building; three people were rescued, and the fire was put out.
Darnytskyi district:
- Debris from downed aerial targets fell in at least three locations; two cars were damaged. No fires or casualties have been reported yet, but information is being updated.
Holosiivskyi District:
- There is a fire at a civil infrastructure facility, and extinguishing work is ongoing.
- A school building was damaged.
- Debris from downed targets fell near a gas station, damaging a car.
- Fragments were found in a non-residential area, with no fires or casualties.
Desnianskyi district:
- Debris from a downed enemy drone was found in an open area, with no damage or casualties.
Shevchenkivskyi district:
- A fire broke out in a non-residential area; details are being clarified.
Dniprovskyi district:
Significant damage to a gas station; emergency responders are working on site.
On the night of June 6, Russia launched a massive attack on Kyiv using Shahed drones, with drones coming from multiple directions. In many parts of the city, emergency responders recorded falling debris and fires.
