Russian forces are conducting a second massive drone attack on Kyiv overnight. Air defense systems are once again active in the capital, according to the Ukrainian Air Forces’ Telegram and a local correspondent.

The latest series of explosions began around 04:20 Kyiv time. Sounds of drones and the regular activity of air defense systems were reported across the city.

Earlier, the military had reported a large group of drones detected in the Kyiv region, which later headed toward the capital.

“Strike drones over the capital. Stay in shelters,” the alert stated.

According to the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, air defense systems were also active across the region. Several local Telegram channels reported that the enemy is conducting a massive attack on Bila Tserkva. No official statements on the aftermath have been released yet.

Major attack on Ukraine

Earlier today, explosions were already reported in Kyiv due to enemy drones.

However, in addition to the massive drone assault, the enemy has deployed strategic Tu-95MS bombers into the sky. According to the Ukrainian Air Forces, cruise missiles have already been launched over Ukraine and are expected to enter the country’s airspace shortly.

There is also information that Russia has launched Kalibr cruise missiles. Official reports indicate a missile threat coming from the south.

Earlier reports confirmed that the city of Zaporizhzhia was attacked overnight. Buildings were damaged, a fire broke out, and at least three people were injured.
